Pull request video overview

by super-artifacts · Published

A player for a narrated pull request walkthrough: a strip of key changes, each its own short recording, with a chapter list that seeks inside it, deep links to a change and a moment (#id, ?t=), and a comment box that stamps each note with the beat on screen. The v1 review player; pr-proof supersedes it for mixed evidence.

What your agent fills in

  • Required:headlinetext

What the pull request does, in one line a reviewer reads first — the cause or the outcome, not the diff. Prefix the PR number ("PR #212 · …") when there is one.

  • Optional:subtitletext

One clause under the headline: why it matters or what caused it.

  • Optional:pullRequestUrlurl

The https address of the pull request (or ticket) this overview reviews. Shown as a link in the header; omit it when there is none.

  • Optional:commentsboolean

Whether reviewers can leave a note stamped with the change and chapter on screen. Defaults to true; the box appears only when the artifact can store notes. Set false for a demo nobody should annotate.

  • Required:changeslistid · title · file · durationSeconds · chapters

The key changes, in the order to watch them — one per thing a reviewer should know, not one per commit. Each: `id` (URL-safe, becomes #id), `title` (on the card, ≤80), `file` (the recording: a path in the bundle such as change-0.mp4, or an https URL), optional `durationSeconds`, and `chapters` — the beats inside that one recording, each `{ title, startSeconds }` where startSeconds is an offset within that file. With one change the strip is not drawn.

Use cases

  • Walk reviewers through a pull request
  • Collect review notes against the moment they are about
  • Hand over a finished piece of work
  • Sprint demo without the hour-long call
